Taiwan Creative Content Fest has revealed the 70 projects selected for its 2026 TCCF Pitching showcase, spotlighting cross-border collaborations and literary adaptations that will be presented to international industry executives.
Set to run November 6-9, some 60% of the projects are set up as international co-productions, reflecting an ongoing trend across the global film and TV industry.
A total of 44 feature films, series, documentaries and animations will be showcased in TCCF Pitching’s Project segment.
Feature projects include My Cringe Love Notebook from South Korean entertainment giant CJ ENM and Taiwan’s Yoosonn Entertainment; Taiwan-Japan co-production The Song About Green with Japan Academy award-winning screenwriter Kosuke Mukai and acclaimed director Nobuhiro Yamashita; and sci-fi drama UFO Club from Japan’s K2 Pictures, the banner behind Hirokazu Koreeda’s Venice Competition film Look Back.
Among the series projects are Taiwan-US’s Bang & Burn, an action title produced by US actress Gina Torres with Oscar-nominated screenwriter Peter Gamble; The 16th Night Kitchen - a bestseller in Japan and South Korea with members of global K-pop sensation BTS among its readers, which brings together producer Lai King-yi of record-breaking Japanese series Hanzawa Naoki and the original author Mao Wu to develop a Taiwanese adaptation; and Taxi Driver, adapted from the hit Korean series of the same name and reimagined as a Taiwanese vigilante justice story by the directing team behind Netflix’s The Victims’ Game.
The documentary highlights include Parachute Kids directed by S. Leo Chiang, whose Island In Between received an Oscar nomination for best documentary short in 2024.
On the animation front, Achugogo: Tale Of The Spring Chaser features a directing team that has worked on projects for Marvel and Toei Animation; Cosmo Princess is led by the production team behind Oscar-winning animated feature Flow; and Wilderness Of The Greenriver won the NT$1m ($32,000) grand prize at last year’s Golden Horse Film Project Promotion (FPP).
Both A Sketch In Scarlet and Leaf And Tree originated as acclaimed novels selected for previous editions of TCCF Pitching’s Story segment designed for cross-media adaptations. Now they are back as a feature film and series respectively in the Project segment.
This year’s Story segment comprises 26 projects of original published texts across two categories. The Fiction & Non-Fiction category includes author Liu Ka-shiang’s Alpha Scorpii In Summer: Tadao Kano’s Experience Growing Up In Taiwan, which recounts the remarkable life of a naturalist during the Japanese colonial era, and author Kevin Chen’s latest novel, The Three Witches Of Shetou, which unfolds against the backdrop of Taiwan’s Changhua County.
Highlights from the Comics category are Op.9 The Swan, a rare Taiwanese science fiction exploring the value of life that won bronze at the 2026 New York Festivals Radio Awards with an audio drama adaptation; and Underdog Reborn, the first webtoon adapted from Pili Puppetry and an honourable mention winner in the comics category of the 2026 best IP awards in the Comics category.
Each of the pitching sessions will award at least $30,000, expanding from just a single top prize across all four sessions. The sponsored awards bring the total prize pool to more than NT$10m ($315,000). Selected projects will also be eligible to apply for up to NT$3m ($95,000) in early-stage development support through TAICCA’s Creative Content Development Program.
TCCF will take place at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
