Film and TV industry exec Steve Turney has died aged 59, after contracting Covid-19.
Turney was senior vice president of sales and acquisitions for London-based producer-distributor Power Entertainment.
He was taken ill last week and died in North Middlesex Hospital, London, on November 18.
Turney began his career at Columbia Pictures in 1978 before going on to work for Twentieth Century Fox International Television as sales director, Goldcrest Films International, Polygram Television International and Lumiere Pictures.
He returned to Power Entertainment in 2019, having formerly been vice president of sales for the company between 2011 and 2015.
In a statement, Power said: “Steve was immensely popular, well-known for his infectious laugh and penchant for inappropriate jokes. He’ll be sadly missed by family and friends.”
