Universal announced on Wednesday that Oscar-winning Get Out filmmaker Jordan Peele’s new project is called Us and will open on previously announced March 15, 2019.

Us is described by the studio as “another original and provocative thriller” from Peele – who produced Cannes competition selection BalcKkKlansman – and did not reveal further plot details.

Peele wrote the feature and produces for his Monkeypaw Productions alongside Sean McKittrick and Jason Blum, and Monkeypaw’s Ian Cooper.

Universal release Get Out in February 2017 and it grossed $176m in North America and $255m worldwide.

The film earned four Oscar nominations at the start of this year and became the first African American to the best original screenplay. Get Out is the first debut feature by an African American writer-director filmmaker to gross more than $100m in North America.
