The 71st annual Writers Guild Awards will take place on February 17, 2019, in Los Angeles and New York.
The Writers Guild announced the timelime on Wednesday (July 18), and said theatrical and documentary screenplay and videogame nominations will be announced on January 7, 2019.
2018 timeline
October 19: Deadline for submissions: drama/comedy/new series; TV-radio/audio-new media scripts and Paul Selvin Award
November 1: Preliminary series online voting begins
November 16: Deadline for submissions: theatrical and documentary screenplays and videogames
November 26: deadline for preliminary series online voting
December 6: television, new media, radio, news, promotional writing, and graphic animation nominations announced
December 7: preliminary screenplay online voting begins
2019 timeline
January 3: deadline for preliminary screenplay online voting
January 7: theatrical and documentary screenplay and videogame nominations announced
January 8: final screenplay and series online voting begins
January 10-18: the contenders: Writers nominated films screening series, Writers Guild Theater, Beverly Hills.

January 31: deadline for final screenplay and series online voting
February 6: deadline for 2019 WGA show reservations, sponsorships and ticket sales
