Trevor Jones, Hildur Guðnadóttir and Volker Bertelmann are among composers who will take plart in Film Music Days, the industry strand of the World Soundtrack Awards (WSA).
The 26th edition of the WSA takes place as part of Film Fest Gent from October 8-10.
South African composer Jones, the recipient of the WSA lifetime achievement award and composer for Mississippi Burning, Notting Hill and The Last of the Mohicans, will be the subject of an in-depth talk about his career.
Guðnadóttir, nominated this year for The Bride! and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, will also take part in a composer talk.
Bertelmann and director Edward Berger, who collaborated on All Quiet on the Western Front and Conclave, will come together to talk about their collaborative process.
Belgian director Lukas Dhont, composer Valentin Hadjadj, and music supervisor Pierre-Marie Dru will discuss their work on the Coward soundtrack.
WSA Film Music Days will also explore the place of artificial intelligence in screen music, and will include a session with the European Composer and Songwriter Alliance (ECSA).
The WSA winners will be announced at the event’s ceremony and concert, which takes place on October 10 at Music Centre De Bijloke in Ghent.
