Oscar winning director Kathryn Bigelow will be guest director of the 2010 Los Angeles Film Festival.

Bigelow, whose The Hurt Locker triumphed at this year’s Academy Awards with six wins, will attend the ninth annual Filmmaker Retreat at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, California. The retreat is a gathering off film-makers, artists and festival staff.

Christopher Nolan and Edgar Wright will each present a conversation at the festival. Nolan will introduce a screening of Alan Parker’s Pink Floyd The Wall, followed by a conversation with Elvis Mitchell discussing the film’s influence on his work.

Wright will be joined by special guest J J Abrams for a lively conversation about his career and a sneak peak at scenes from his upcoming Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.

Additional talent at the festival include directors Richard Kelly, Eli Roth, Adam Shankman, Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass and Gary Ross, and composers Moby and Gustavo.
