Corsan Worldwide Sales has appointed Pascal Borno as president of sales as the EFM got underway in Berlin.

Borno most recently served as president of sales and acquisitions at Arclight Films and previously worked with Dino De Laurentiis. Based in Los Angeles, he reports to Corsan CEO Paul Breuls.

He will be joined in Berlin by Corsan COO Catherine Vandeleene and sales executive Alain Gillessen, both based at Corsan’s Antwerp offices.

Heading the Berlin slate is Lee Tamahori’s The Devil’s Double about Uday Hussein’s body double, which has begun principal photography in Malta and stars Dominic Cooper and Ludivine Sagnier.

Roland Joffe’s romance Singularity is scheduled to shoot later this year in India, while the romantic comedy Meant To Be starring Kelly Reilly, Kris Marshall and Mia Maestro is ready for delivery.

Breuls said the appointment was “yet another step in the ongoing expansion of Corsan as a fully integrated independent finance and production company, that also controls the distribution and marketing of its films.”
