Sandra Nettelbeck's next feature Helen is to be produced by MTM Medien & Television Muenchen's Andreas Bareiss and co-produced with Pandora Film's Karl Baumgartner, who produced her international hit Mostly Martha.

Helen, which will be shot in English, centres on a law professor fighting to save her life and her family and is also, according to the makers, "a portrayal of a marriage and a tale of friendship, one of courage, devotion, and the triumph of the heart over the mind."

Bavaria Film International, which also sold Mostly Martha internationally for Pandora Film, will also handle international sales on Helen.

Bareiss served as executive producer on Caroline Link's Oscar-nominated Nowhere In Africa while Baumgartner was co-producer on two of this year's Oscar-nominated films, Aki Kaurismaki's The Man Without A Past and Jacques Perrin's documentary Winged Migration.
