Controversial directorCatherine Breillat has begun shooting her latest film Une VieilleMaitresse. Handled by PyramideInternational, the film is a $11.5m (Euros 9m) period piece about a lovetriangle involving a young man, his older mistress and the young woman he mustmarry.

Asia Argento plays themistress with newcomer Fu'ad Ait Aattou as the lover and Roxane Mesquida in asthe young bride. Mesquida previously worked with Breillat in Fat Girl. The rest of the cast includes Anatomy Of Hell star Amira Casar and Anne Parillaud.

Shooting in Paris, Maitressewill be ready for Berlin or Cannes next year.

Pyramide is busy this yearwith two films in competition - Aki Kaurismaki's Lights In The Dusk and Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Climates - set to be distributed by sister company PyramideDistribution. Tony Gatlif's closing-night film Transylvania and Un Certain Regard title The Way I Spent TheEnd Of The World are being sold byPyramide International.

The rest of the sales slateincludes Michel Leclerc's Handy Man,Which One Of Us' by CharlesBelmont, Benoit Cohen's If You Love Me, Follow Me and Catherine Corsini's Ambitious. The company is also selling the Louis Mallecatalogue with just a few territories left.
