Actress and film-maker Isabella Rossellini is collaborating with legendary screenwriter Jean-Claude Carrier (The Artist and the Model) on a new project.

Bestiaire D’Amout will first be presented as a dramatic monologue in Paris and Italy, but Rossellini would eventually like to expand it into a film.

Similar to her Forum Expanded title Mammas and her early Green Porno films, this project will be based around the concepts of biology and animal diversity.

“It is again courtship, reproduction, survival and evolution with a comical tone,” Rossellini told Screen. She and Carriere are currently finishing the script.

Rossellini stars in Generation title The Zigzag Kid and was bestowed with a Berlinale Camera award.
