Producers Paul Cowan and Chris Wheeldon of Territorial Film Developments (TFD) have cast Emilia Fox (Flashbacks of a Fool) as the lead in Richard Blanshard's supernatural thriller Soothsayer.

The project will shoot this summer. The cast also includes Tehya Hadley, Thekla Reuten, Kate Atkinson and John Standing.

Barry Langley wrote the script about a mysterious visitor to an English country manor, where forces hope to take over the mind of an innocent 7-year-old.

Cowan and Wheeldon previously produced crocodile horror film Black Water, sold widely by AV Pictures. AV will also sell Soothsayer.

The TFD slate also includes Good Morning Tottenham, a bittersweet tale of contemporary London kids which will be produced in conjunction with Rebecca O'Brien and will be directed by Les Blair; comedy thriller The Dying Game written and directed by Irving Schwartz which looks at the dark side of a New York family; and the UK/Hungarian co-production Carmilla about a 19th century vampire, written by Cicely Tennant, Simone Kaye and Paul Wiffen. Wiffen will also direct.
