Matthew Stein has been named senior vice president of productionfor Dimension Films at The Weinstein Company.

Stein will continue to work at Miramax in his current position asvice president of production for Dimension until Sept 30, after which time hewill assume his new full-time role at The Weinstein Company.

Based in New York, he will oversee day-to-day production anddevelopment of the slate and acquisitions, and will report to Dimension'sexecutive vice president and head of production Richard Saperstein, and BobWeinstein.

'Matt is incredibly creative and talented and has been a keymember of the Dimension team," Weinstein said in a statement. "I am thrilledthat he will be continuing to work with us at our new company in an expandedrole. "

Stein began his career at Dimension Films in 1999 as executiveassistant to Bob Weinstein. He was promoted to vice president ofproduction/development and home entertainment in March 2004.

His creditsinclude Bad Santa,and Scary Movie 3,and upcoming projects include Scary Movie 4 and Pulse, among others.
