Buyers are galloping after Where Is Winky's Horse', the sequel to Dutch box-office hit, Winky's Horse.
The film, on Montreal-based Delphis Films' EFM slate, has gone to Norway (Arthouse), Sweden (Folkets Bio), Denmark (Ost For Paradis), Luxembourg (PT Coms), Germany (Telepool) , Italy (Imago) and Spain (Films Y Piniculas.)
Where Is Winky's Horse' is directed by Mischa Kamp and written by Tamara Bos. It is produced by BosBros. Film-TV Productions. Ebbie Tam, Betty Schuurman and Jan Decleir headline the cast of the film which, like its predecessor Winky's Horse, is screening in official selection in the Berlinale.
In Where Is Winky's Horse', the little Chinese girl Winky is taking care of St. Nicholas's horse. When the noble animal gets lost, Winky has to do her utmost best to find the horse back before St. Nicholas returns.
Another title on the Delphis slate is also enticing buyers. Midway through the market, Delphis' Xiao Juan Zhou confirmed deals with R Film for Turkey and Films Y Piniculas for Spain for Yuletide family yarn Christmas, the most successful local film of the year in Finland in 2007.
