The deal was poised to close on Wednesday evening (25) for one of the most popular titles of the festival to date, a coming-of-age tale written and directed by Josh Radnor who also stars alongside Elizabeth Olsen.

IFC plans a theatrical release in the top 20 markets later this year after Arianna Bocco negotiated the deal with Jay Cohen and Jennifer Dana of Gersh on behalf of the filmmakers.

BCDF Pictures financed the film and Jesse Hara of Tom Sawyer Entertainment produced alongside Radnor, Claude Dal Farra, Brice Dal Farra and Lauren Munsch. Hyde Park International holds sales rights outside North America.

In Liberal Arts, Radnor plays a returning alumnus at a retirement dinner who falls for a dazzling young student. The film received its world premiere on Sunday in the Premieres section.
