Romantic comedy The Truth About Love, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Dougray Scott and Jimi Mistry, begins filming in the UK this month.

Directed by John Hay (There's Only One Jimmy Grimble) and produced by Tracey Adam at Lex Filmed Entertainment, The Truth About Love is billed as a film in which not everyone or everything is as it first appears.

UK distribution will be handled by Redbus Film Distribution with foreign sales being handled by Lakeshore Entertainment.

The co-producer is Christopher Figg and executive producers are Jeremy Bolt, Ivan Mactaggart and Bill Allan. The original screenplay is written by Peter Bloore and William Johnston.

The Truth About Love is financed by Piccadilly Pictures, Baker Street, Take Partnerships, the Bank of Ireland and £544,104 of Lottery investment from the UK Film Council's New Cinema Fund. The film also benefited from £20,000 of development funding from the UK Film Council's Development Fund. Principal photography begins on April 11 on location in Bristol.
