India's largest media company, The Times of India Group,has moved into film production, backing English language feature Being Cyrus.

Directed and co-written by Homi Adajania, the film isbilled as a cross between a psychological drama and a comedy in which a dopesmoking retired sculptor, who lives in a secluded Indian hill station, openshis house to a stranger, Cyrus.

The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, DimpleKapadia and Honey Chhaya and is edited by Jon Harris (Snatch, Layer Cake).

The film is produced by Miracle Cinefilms and SerendipityFilms for the Times of India Group.

Vineet Jain, managing director of The Times Group,commented: "We made this film especially to cater to European, North American,and Japanese audiences and it is in the genre of world cinema on the lines of AmoresPerros.
