Toby Kebbell (Dead Man’s Shoes, Control, Prince Of Persia) has taken the lead role in The Veteran, which will also star Brian Cox, Ashley Thomas (aka Bashy), Adi Bielski and Tom Brooke.

The film is about a young soldier’s return from Afghanistan to investigate suspected terrorists in Britain.

Matthew Hope will direct and also wrote the script with former SAS man Robert Henry Craft and Adam Tysoe.

The six-week shoot starts June 28 on location around London and at Elstree Studios.

Financing comes from private equity, Premiere Picture and Lipsync Productions. Kim Leggatt and Debbie Shuter produce through DMK (Hope is also a partner in the company).
