UK producers association Pact has appointed Tony Dillon as its new director of business affairs.

He will replace Andrew Chowns, who is leaving to become CEO of Directors UK.

Dillon, who is currently head of legal and business affairs at distribution firm 2 entertain, will take up the new role in September.

He has held several senior business affairs roles at the BBC including head of legal affairs for its children’s and learning divisions and head of commercial and legal affairs, radio and music.

Pact CEO John McVay said he was “looking forward to working with such an experienced industry professional as Tony as we enter a busy period in the broadcasting industry.”
