The UK's film promotion TV channel, EatCinema, has announced a three-month sponsorship deal with Metro Newspapers to startin mid-July.

This is the first sponsorship deal Eat Cinema has signedsince its launch at the end of February.

Over the three month period, Eat Cinema will provide videoclips and interviews to put onto the Metro Life website, and will also be runpromotions for the newspaper on its TV channel.

Metro will run advertisements and competitions to promoteEat Cinema, in both its free newspaper and website.

"Our print arts andentertainment content in the Metro Life section is very strong, both nationallyand regionally, and we want to enhance this through our new media platforms,"Metro Assistant Editor Jamie Walters said. "The partnership with Eat Cinemawill help us achieve this online by providing us with exciting multimediacontent that will add value to our existing excellent film coverage."

Eat Cinema, Sky Digital channel 199, is a 24-hour TV channeldesigned to promote new films and encourage viewers to go to the cinema.
