VTR , the holding company of post-production company Prime Focus UK Group, has acquired the business interests of Clarke Associates London Limited, including the services of creative director Simon Clarke and his team.
VTR has also acquired some equipment as part of the deal, including 3D workstations and associated software.
Clarke Associates is a broadcast visual effects company that has worked on projects for the BBC, National Geographic, Discovery and Channel 4.
VTR will issue 100,000 new ordinary shares to Clarek Associates (with the new shares admitted to trading on AIM as of Jan 8) and make a cash payment of about $60,000.
Simon Clarke said: 'I am thrilled to be joining the VTR group of companies and consider this to be a great opportunity. My expertise in commercials and visual effects will compliment the company's existing global offer, and will be a springboard for greater prospects going forward.'
