Steve Southgate has beennamed senior vice president of European technical operations at Warner BrosEntertainment and Paul Saccone becomes senior vice president and generalmanager of Warner Bros subsidiary Global Digital Media Xchange.

"Steve and Paul have bothproved invaluable to our operations, both here and abroad," Darcy Antonellis,executive vice president of Warner Bros Technical Operations (WBTO), said in astatement.

"As our businesses andrelationships with our customers become increasingly dependent on technology,their leadership, experience and knowledge have been increasingly important inkeeping Warner Bros on the cutting edge."

Southgate joined WBTO 14years ago and from his London base oversees 35mm print and trailer delivery for36 territories and dubbing, subtitling, anti-piracy and censorship requirementsin the theatrical market for Europe as well as European television elementdeliveries and staff technical training.

He previously served as vicepresident of European technical operations. Prior to WBTO he was director of international services forSovereign Pictures, European technical manager for Columbia Tri-Star Pictures,and UK technical manager for Columbia Cannon Warner.

Saccone was previously vicepresident and general manager for GDMX and oversees the Broadcast OperationCentre for the WB Television Network, Warner Bros Entertainment's domesticsyndication operations and The WB+100 Station Group.

His team supportsimplementation of digital distribution of Warner Bros Entertainment's contentand oversees DVD authoring and encoding for Warner Home Video.

Saccone joined Warner Brosin 1998. Prior to that, he was director of studio operations for CBS,overseeing all studio operations supporting all CBS production entities.

He was awarded an Emmy Awardfor outstanding technical team-studio for the 1998 Nagano Olympics.
