French sales agent Wild Bunch has completed a swathe of sales on its huge European Film Market slate.

Competition film Spirited Away was confirmed as going to Pathe for UK and Switzerland, RAI Cinema for Italy and Central Partnership Russia. After buying City Of God at Sundance for the US & Latin America (except Brazil) Miramax is now in discussions to take more territories.

Kinowelt appears to back on the acquisitions trails having taken German rights to Avalon. " You can really talk with [Kinowelt boss] Kölmels about cinema compared to the other publicly listed German companies", said Wild Bunch co-chief, Vincent Maraval.

Sales on Peter Mullan's Cannes-tipped The Magdalene Sisters were made to Lucky Red (Italy) and Momentum Pictures (UK); on Red Siren to Apex (Korea), Filmplus (Russia), Comstock (Japan), and Prooptiki (Greece). Jonas Akerland's Spun was grabbed by Newmarket (US), Amuse (Asia) and Bac Films France) and Requiem was picked up by New Select Co (Japan), Apex (Korea) and Audiovisual (Greece). Savage Innocence was sold to Gaga for Japan and Gutek for Poland.
