Thomas McCarthy’s comedy Win Win and Francois Ozon’s Potiche (pictured) bookend the 13th annual RiverRun International Film Festival, set to run in Winston-Salem, North Carolina from Apr 8-17.

All in all 57 features and 61 shorts from 32 countries will screen, including the world premiere of Paul Bonesteel’s documentary The Day Carl Sandburg Died.

Narrative competition entries include Semih Kaplanoglu‘s Bal (Honey) and Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Palme d’Or winner Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, while David Weissman and Bill Weber’s We Were Here and Janus Metz Pedersen’s Armadillo are among notable entries in the documentary strand.

Larysa Kondracki’s The Whistleblower starring Rachel Weitz and Jonathan Sobol’s A Beginner’s Guide To Endings screen in the special presentations section and the French Masters Spotlight features Abdel Kechiche’s The Secret Of The Grain and Claire Denis’ 35 Shots Of Rum.

“We’ve got a really great lineup of films in this year’s programme,” Andrew Rodgers, RiverRun’s executive director, said. “There’ll be no shortage of challenging works at this year’s festival that will expose audiences to the range of new ideas and cultures and broaden their artistic horizons.”
