The four-time Grammy Award-winning independent record label today announced the launch of World Circuit Films, an in-house production company dedicated to the creation of music-related films for theatrical, television, DVD and digital release.

The company will be headed by Rosa Bosch, who was previously deputy director of the London Film Festival before moving into international sales and distribution. She was a founding member of international sales company the Tequila Gang with Guillermo de Toro and in 2003 helped found HBO Films international theatrical distribution operation. She previously worked with World Circuit on Wim Wenders' Buena Vista Social Club.

World Circuit Records boasts an impressive roster of acts including Oumou Sangare, Ali Farka Toure and Ibrahim Ferrer. Label head Nick Gold said: 'World Circuit Films is a very exciting development for us and an opportunity to broaden the exposure of some truly outstanding artists.'
