Vancouver’s Perfect Circle Productions has boarded AJ Annila’s new project Human as co-producers with Blind Spot Pictures.
The film offers a twist on the traditional werewolf story, with the main character turning from a wolf into a human.
Dean English and Karen Powell of Perfect Circle are lined up to co-produce the film, while Doug Taylor (Splice) will co-write the screenplay.
Tero Kaukomaa, managing director of Blind Spot, said: “It’s really exciting to get all this international talent to work alongside AJ and our Finnish team. Their participation will definitely broaden the international appeal of the film.”
Annila, best known for horror film Sauna, commented: “With Human I expect to do a totally different kind of werewolf film, so don’t expect anything familiar to this sub-genre.”
