Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to become a full member of the EU’s MEDIA Programme later this year.

According to MEDIA unit chief Aviva Silver, “timing will depend on the procedures side of things but hopefully we’re talking months.”

In the meantime, professionals from the federation will be able to submit their proposals under open calls, although the selection of the final proposals will be conditional on the finalisation of the negotiation process.

At the beginning of this month, Bosnia and Herzegovina took over the chair of the Strasbourg-based European Audiovisual Observatory for 2012

Meanwhile, the results of the MEDIA international evaluation may be available by the end of January for distribution.
