Ariel Veneziano will be talking to buyers in Berlin under the auspices of his new international sales company Recreation, part of the Recreation Media consultancy he launched last year.

Veneziano, a familiar face on the circuit who has served as head of Icon International and GreeneStreet Films International, will announce a key partnership and first titles at EFM this week.

The plan is to focus on a slate of prestige art house and genre titles and Veneziano said he would unveil a thriller label in the run-up to Cannes, by which time he expected to have announced key executive hires.

“The smart way to build and grow a business is to do it step-by-step and really match the overheads with the business that is generated,” Veneziano said.
