Bavaria Film International is to handle international sales for the omnibus film project Moving The Arts which will bring together shorts from Atom Egoyan, Hal Hartley, Christian Petzold, Julio Medem, Laetitia Masson, and Jia Zhang-ke. Each will make a short film inspired by a work of post-modern art exhibited in the Dusseldorf museum K 21.

The $4.1m (Euros 2.8m) production by the Cologne branch of cine plus and cine plus Media Service will begin shooting at locations in Düsseldorf, Berlin, Paris, New York, Barcelona and China from the beginning of next year. Sabine Timoteo, Hanns Zischler, Matthias Schweighöfer, Jasmin Tabatabai, Arsinee Khanjian, Carmelo Gomez and Nancho Novo are among the cast confirmed so far.

The shorts will be shot by the DoPs Anthony Dod Mantle, Vladimir Subotic, Hans Fromm, Mario Montero, Antoine Heberle and Nelson Yu Lik-wai, respectively.

Moving The Arts will be released theatrically in Germany by Zorro Film in cooperation with Jetfilm.
