Bruno Merle's Heros will be the opening film for this year's Critics Week.
The French film stars Michael Youn, Patrick Chesnais, Elodie Bouchez and Jackie Berroyer.

The film sees Youn, best known for his comedic work, as the warm-up guy for a TV show who loses the plot and kidnaps the show's singer.
Heros is produced by Les Films du Requin with France's Coach 14 handling international sales.

Rezo is distributing the film in France.

Critics Week opens on May 17. Last week it was announced that Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal will act as ambassador to Critics Week in Cannes.

The Babel star will unveil his first directorial effort, Deficit, during the fortnight.
