Cinexport has taken on world sales for Morituri, and Cinexport president Anne-Marie Rombourg-Caraco is handling the project here in Cannes.

Okacha Touita's thriller is based on the novel by Yasmina Khadra, set during Algeria's civil war in the 1990s.

The cast features Miloud Khetib, Azzedine Bouraghda, Boualem Benani, Ahmed Benaissa, Rachid Fares, Malika Belbey, Sid Ali Kouiret, Sid Ahmed Agoumi and Ali Benmedjegraia.

The story follows a police chief/novelist whose investigations lead him to a terrorist group and also a bank scandal. Morituri was released in French cinemas in late April.
