The funding body will now offer 10% of a film’s budget.

The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) has increased support for minority co-productions to 10% of a film’s overall budget. Previously, the funding available was between $27,000 and $81,000 per project.

The feature debut of Danish director Birgitte Staermose The Morning After received $270,740 (HRK1,236,500). A co-production between Alphaville Pictures Copenhagen APS-APS and Croatia’s Mainframe, the project began shooting in Zagreb last month.

Mainframe has ralso eceived support for another project, Parade by Serbia’s Srdjan Dragojevic (Pretty Village Pretty Flame), which is currently in pre production. The collaboration with Belgrade-based Delirium will receive $130,601 (HRK700,000).

Enemy by Serbian director Dejan Zecevic, who is best known internationally for The Fourth Man, has been awarded $141,815 (HRKa760,000). The thriller co-produced by Serbia’s Biberche Productions, Croatia’s Maxima Film, Bosnia’s Balkan Film and Hungary’s Tivoli Film Produkcio is currently in post.
