Hugh Edwards, who previously worked at Blue Star Movies, Eagle Rock and MercuryMedia, has launched new sales and production outfit Aspect Film Limited with Aneta Kianekova.

Aspect is at AFM selling completed projects US comedy The Utopian Society, starring The Heartbreak Kid actress Malin Akerman; thriller The Dreamless; Lee Hutcheon's Scottish gangster story The Clan; Vicky Jewson's update of Lady Godiva (which Winstone Films will release theatrically in the UK); and Christopher Jaymes' In Memory Of My Father starring Jeremy Sisto and Judy Greer.

In post now, Aspect has $5m Double Tap starring Latin American action star Fabian Camillo and with a soundtrack by R Kelly.

Aspect is handling pre-sales on Bad Day WWII, a story of disparate soldiers bonding together in occupied France in 1942. That project will be readied for release in May 2008. It has been pre-sold to Poland (Kino Swiat), Switzerland and Brazil.
Sony BMG Red/Diamond Entertainment Group has US rights to Double Tap and Bad Day.

In development now, Aspect has $10m Christmas comedy Lots-O-Trees; $11m gospel project In The Spotlight, and $7m Julito Marana with Luis Guzman and Freddy Rodriguez attached.
