Aaron Eckhart will star in the psychological thriller Fade Out which The Solution Entertainment Group introduces at AFM this week.

Robert Salerno will direct from a screenplay by Michael Cristofer. Anthony Bregman of Likely Story and Naomi Despres of ArtinaFilms will produce.

Fade Out centres on a paranoid screenwriter recovering from a breakdown on a tropical island whose wife goes missing as he composes a script about a wife murderer.

The Solution Entertainment Group’s Lisa Wilson and Myles Nestel are on board as executive producers alongside John Penotti and Tim Williams.

Principal photography is scheduled to commence in mid-February 2014 in Puerto Rico. The producers are handling US rights.

Fade Out is as irresistible as a potent Caribbean cocktail: a twisted mind-bending thriller set in a sun-soaked beach town from a smart script full of surprising twists, and with true artists in front of and behind the camera,” said Bregman.

“Aaron is a versatile actor who has shown immense range across his performances and is the perfect actor to bring the character to life in this Hitchcockian thriller,” said Wilson and Nestel. “We’re delighted to be partnering with Bob Salerno on his directorial debut and debuting the project at AFM.”

The Solution’s AFM slate includes three titles in production: The Forger with John Travolta, Christopher Plummer and Tye Sheridan; How To Make Love Like An Englishman with Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek and Jessica Alba; and Jenny’s Wedding starring Katherine Heigl and Tom Wilkinson.
