UPI takes territories on Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty

Universal Pictures International announced on Tuesday (15) its deal with Panorama Media for the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Scandinavia, South Africa and Spain. The deal happened well before Cannes.

Joel Edgerton, Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Mark Strong, Edgar Ramirez, Chris Pratt and Kyle Chandler are among the cast.

The story recounts the 2011 raid by the Navy SEAL Team 6 elite squad that resulted in the death of Osama Bin Laden.

Sony will release in the US on Dec 19. Mark Boal, Bigelow’s (pictured) screenwriter on The Hurt Locker, wrote the script and the pair produce alongside Megan Ellison of Annapurna Pictures.. 

Greg Shapiro, Ted Schipper and Colin Wilson serve as executive producers.
