Corpo Celeste wins Citta di Roma award in Cannes
Alice Rohrwacher’s Corpo Celeste has won the Citta di Roma award for emerging cinema from Latin countries at Cannes.
The film is an Italy-France-Switzerland co-production sold by Rai Trade.
The story follows a working class teenage girl growing up in Southern Italy, preparing for her Catholic confirmation.
The award was created by Gillo Pontecorvo to support distribution.
