Streaming service FlixFling is on the ground in Cannes looking for acquisitions and has launched a fund with private equity partners called Invincible Entertainment Partners.

The money will be used to fill streaming slots and assemble a US theatrical release pipeline through FlixFling’s parent company, Invincible Pictures.

FlixFling has targeted one to five buys in Cannes.

“We have had great success with genre titles in the past and will continue to look at those but, with greater financial resources, our approach to acquisitions has shifted and we are able to curate a robust catalogue that is second to none,” said CEO Thomas Ashley.n
