EXCLUSIVE: Image Entertainment has picked up US rights to Cyclone Productions thriller Shiver [pictured], directed by UK director Julian Richards.

Based on Brian Harper’s novel, the film stars Danielle Harris, John Jarratt and Casper Van Dien in the story of a young secretary who becomes the target of a savage killer.

Written and Produced by Robert Weinbach, executive produced by Brad Harris and co-produced by AJ Gordon, the film was shot on location in Portland, Oregon.

The deal was negotiated by Image Entertainment’s Mark Ward, Jess De Leo and Circus Road’s Glen Reynolds on behalf of the filmmakers. 

“The horror/genre community has created a lot of positive word of mouth online about this highly anticipated film,” said Image Entertainment’s chief acquisitions officer Bill Bromiley. “Their support will push this title to its success, and we’re thrilled to add this film to our slate.”

Recent Image Entertainment releases include The Numbers Station, Tomorrow You’re Gone and Day of the Falcon.
