Kusturica to produce mafia comedy
The award-winning director will produce dark comedy Mozzarella Stories by debut director Edoardo De Angelis.
Double Palme D’Or winner Emir Kusturica is to executive produce Mozzarella Stories, the debut feature film from director Edoardo De Angelis. Shooting is set for the end of the summer in Caserta near Naples.
The dark comedy is being produced by Bavaria Media Italia under Philipp Kreuzer and co-produced by Elisabetta Bruscolini for Sperimentale di Cinematografia (CSC). Paula Vaccaro executive produces alongside Kusturica. The project has already received support from the Italian Ministry Of Culture. Bavaria International will be handling worldwide sales.
De Angelis met the Kusturica at the latter’s Kustendorf Film Festival in Serbia last year. De Angelis’ short film Beach Boy was in competition.
