Radiant Films has licensed all French-speaking rights to Mars Films on Rudderless, the musical drama from Unified Pictures’ in association with Bron Studios.
Billy Crudup, Anton Yelchin, Selena Gomez, Laurence Fishburne William H Macy and Felicity Huffman star in Macy’s feature directorial debut about a grieving father who forms a band after he finds a box of his dead son’s original music.
Radiant president and CEO Mimi Steinbauer launched international sales in Cannes and brokered the deal with Mars’ Veronique Cuilhe.
“Mars is the perfect distributor for this film and we look forward to partnering with them on the theatrical release,” said Steinbauer.
“Rudderless is a wonderful, life-affirming story with a terrific A-list cast so we were confident that it would resonate with the international marketplace. We are thrilled to be making such a great start.”
Casey Twenter and Jeff Robison adapted the screenplay from the original story they wrote with Macy.
Keith Kjarval produces through his Unified Pictures in association with Bron Studios. Bron’s Aaron L Gilbert serves as executive producer.
