The festival will run from Jun 23-24 and features South Korean screenings and VIP events. Hyundai Motors is the lead sponsor.
For the first time, Asian performers will cast their hand and footprints in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, among them veteran actor Sung-ki Ahn and G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra star Byung-hun Lee.
“American filmmakers and audiences have always been intrigued with the Far East and especially with action stars from that part of the world,” G.I. Joe producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said. “Working with Korean actor Byung-hun Lee on G.I. Joe : Retaliation was a wonderful experience. His energy and charisma truly come to life on film.”
The film line-up will be announced in due course.
