Glenn Close to receive lifetime achievement award in San Sebastian

Close will receive Donostia Award at festival’s 59th edition where she is presenting latest feature Albert Nobbs

Actress Glenn Close is to receive this year’s Donostia Award at the San Sebastian Film Festival (Sept 16-24).

The presentation will take place on Sept 18 in the Kursaal Auditorium.

The acclaimed film, TV and stage actress, who has garnered five Oscar nominations for dramas including Fatal Attraction and Dangerous Liasons and twelve Emmy Award nominations over a 30 year-career, has most recently starred in hit TV series Damages.

During the festival Close will introduce the European premiere (out-of-competition) of her latest film, Albert Nobbs, which she also co-produced and co-wrote. Directed by Rodrigo Garcia, the film also stars Mia Wasikowska, Aaron Johnson, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Brendan Gleeson.
