Zombies will rise from the dead this Saturday in an attempt to set a new Guinness world record, with a little help from Alan Ford.

Like a scene from a Romero classic, this Saturday (Oct 6) will see zombies invade Crawley in an attempt to set a new Guinness world record for the most zombies together in one place.

And who’s responsible for this mass rise from the dead? Sussex farmer Stuart Beare, who hosts, on his farm near Crawley, the UK’s biggest Halloween event: the Shocktober Fest Scream Park.

But he’s not alone. The zombies [pictured] from recent Brit zom-com Cockneys Vs. Zombies will reprise their roles at the event, where they will aim to help break the previous record of 4,093 zombies, set in New Jersey on Oct 30, 2010.

The film’s star Alan Ford will be on hand to assist in the adjudication and potentially present Beare with a new world record certificate.
