Lindsay Lohan and Rosario Dawson have joined the cast of Poor Things, the upcoming dark comedy inspired by the wave of 'grandma gang' scams in the US.

Olympia Dukakis and Shirley MacLaine - together for the first time since 1989's Steel Magnolias - star as elderly con artists in the debut feature from Robert Hickman's Still Rolling Productions. Channing Tatum, who starred in the global hit dance drama Step Up.

Lohan will play the women's young accomplice Phoebe, while Dawson's role remained unclear. Sacha Baron Cohen's cousin Ash will direct and
shooting is set to begin in Los Angeles on May 29.

H20 Motion Pictures' Mark Horowitz has introduced the project to buyers here but was unavailable to confirm the new cast. ICM is represents domestic rights.
