London-based Lumina picked up international sales rights yesterday in Toronto to Eddy Moretti and Suroosh Alvi's documentary Heavy Metal In Baghdad, screening in Reel To Reel here.

The film, which has had a strong response from audiences and buyers, is the story of two journalists attempting to track down the one and only heavy metal band in Iraq called Acrassicauda.

Lumina's Samantha Horley negotiated the deal for the film with producers Vice Films and VBS TV and New York-based sales agent Submarine which is handling the domestic sale of the film.
