Mario Kassar and Erick J Feitshan's recently formed sales and consulting outfit Magnetik Media has signed three projects from Ryan Kavanaugh's Relativity Media which it is selling here. They are:

  • James Mangold's 3:10 To Yuma, starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale
  • Rob Minkoff's Forbidden Kingdom with Jackie Chan and Jet Li
  • And Brian DePalma's Untouchables prequel Untouchables: Capone Rising which will star Nicolas Cage.
Magnetik will focus on international sales and distribution as well as consulting to independent producers in the areas of project development, physical production and distribution.

Feitshans has worked with Kassar, most recently as executive vice president and general counsel at C2 Pictures and before that at Morgan Creek and Cinergi where he managed Summit Entertainment in which Cinergi was then a partner.

Lionsgate has domestic rights to 3:10 To Yuma which is currently in post-production and Forbidden Kingdom which began principal photography on May 2, 2007, in China.

Paramount is handling North America on Capone Rising which is set to start shooting in Oct this year. Art Linson and Relativity's Kavanaugh are producing.
