Aman Sahota, a student at London's Met Film School, has just finished the Kenya-based shoot for her short film Ndugu (Brother).

Fellow students Judy Tjin, Michael Ghelfi and Ricardo Nunes assisted with the shoot.

Kenya-born Aman wrote, directed, shot and co-produced the film about two friends from different tribes. She wrote the project long before the recent election.

Two local farmers, Njenga Stanley Kang'ua and Mwangi Nicholas Njogu, took the leads in the Swahili-language projec.t

The film got a license from the Kenya Film Council and its fee was waived by the Undersecretary of Media and Communications.

Sahota will now edit Ndugu and submit it to festivals. She will then make her graduation film in Punjabi.
