Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) has promoted three executives in the company's international group, led by T Paul Miller's appointment as senior vice president of international and general manager of emerging markets.

Also elevated in the corporate ranks are Claude Borna, promoted to vice president of retail marketing, Europe, and Orrie Dempsey, who becomes vice president of customer development, Europe.

Miller will oversee strategic initiatives for SPHE's international territories and manage more than 60 countries with particular emphasis on Russia, China, Greece and India.

He previously served four years as vice president of finance, international theatrical and home entertainment for the motion picture finance group at Sony Pictures Entertainment and before that spent three years as corporate controller at LucasFilm. He reports to executive vice president of international Matt Brown.

Claude Borna, who is based in London, will oversee retail marketing for SPHE's European territories. She most recently served as director of retail marketing, Europe. Prior to joining SPHE she worked for Amazon, where she played an integral role in the launch of DVD in the UK and France.

Dempsey, who is also based in London, will oversee customer development, creating and implementing improvements in sales capabilities for all European territories.

Dempsey most recently served as SPHE's director of customer development, Europe and prior to joining the company he was responsible for new and emerging markets in the juice category at Pepsi Co.

Both Borna and Dempsey will report to Simon McDowell, senior vice senior vice president and general manager, Europe.
