Cinemavault has closed key territory sales on Nik Fackler’s romance Lovely, Still starring Martin Landau and Ellen Burstyn.

Comstock has acquired Japanese rights and plans a 2010 theatrical release. With Cinema licensed the film for South Korea, Horizon for Turkey, Front Row for the Middle East, Visey Primier Plan for Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile, and ETV for South Africa.

Negotiations are underway with distributors in the UK, Germany, and France. Cinemavault will release the film in Canadian theatres in February 2010 to coincide with Valentines Day.

Lovely, Still premiered at Toronto 2008 and tells of an older man who falls in love for the first time during the week before Christmas. Fackler also wrote the screenplay and rounding out the cast are Elizabeth Banks and Adam Scott.

Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy of Parts & Labor produced alongside Dana Altman of North Sea Films and James Lawler.

Virgil Price of Sterling Productions, Jack Turner of White Buffalo Entertainment, Ian McGloin, Charlie Ledley and Jamie Mai of Strange Loop Entertainment served as executive producers.
