IMAX Corporation is partnering with Paramount on the international release of Iron Man 2 commencing April 29.

The anticipated sequel is scheduled to open in North America on conventional and IMAX screens on May 2.

IMAX will determine the number of digital IMAX sites and the territory count closer to the release date.

Iron Man 2sees Robert Downey Jr reprise his role as the maverick billionaire weapons inventor with the public crime-fighting alter ego.

Mickey Rourke, Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel Jackson, Scarlett Johanssen and Sam Rockwell also star.
