The Sidney Kimmel and Lakeshore Entertainment comedy will screen for one week in New York at Lincoln Center and in Los Angeles at Arclight Hollywood and The Landmark starting on Dec 14.

Lionsgate is targeting the Golden Globes comedy or musical category as well as best song for Globes and Academy consideration for Jon Bon Jovi’s original song Not Running Anymore.  

Stand Up Guys recently opened the Chicago International Film Festival and stars Al Pacino, Christopher Walken (pictured), Alan Arkin and Julianna Margulies in the story of retired gangsters who reunite for one last big blow-out.

Fisher Stevens directed from a screenplay by Noah Haidle. Sidney Kimmel, Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Jim Tauber produced and Eric Reid, Ted Gidlow, Bruce Toll, the late Bingham Ray and Matt Berenson served as executive producers.

Lionsgate will continue to play the festival circuit through the end of the year before orchestrating a wider release on Feb 1 2013.
